Who is Ouellet?

Ouellet is a long-standing Canadian manufacturer of electric heating products, best known for baseboard heaters, convectors, fan-forced units, and commercial electric heating solutions. The company sits on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River in the Canadian province of Quebec.

The brand gets its name from an entrepreneurial Quebec native called Charles-Émile Ouellet. In 1960, he started manufacturing residential hot-air heating equipment in a workshop next to his home. Within a decade, what began as a small backyard business turned into a profitable corporation, and by 1987 had branched out to the USA. By the next year, the company sells its one millionth electric baseboard heater, and by 2013 it’s 10 millionth heater.

These use radiant heat that warms warm people and objects, instead of the air. Since they are installed up and out of the way, are a good option for smaller rooms where space is a premium, and households with children or pets to reduce the risk of burning.

Ouellet ORC075 59″ 750 Watt Radiant Cove Heater

The ORC075 is a 59″ radiant heater, offering 750 Watts of heat. It will give you 750 Watts regardless of the voltage you need, and comes in your choice of 120V, 208V, 240V, and 277V (commercial use only). 

The front of the heater is constructed of an aluminum extrusion to increase heating surface, while the back of the heater is 18-gauge steel. Each end of the heater includes a junction box, 4″ ground wires and approved wireways that allow the interconnection of multiple heaters to give you wall-to-wall radiant heat. The stainless steel tubular heating element is inserted into a solid aluminum extrusion to prevent any thermal expansion.

Ouellet Hybrid Convection / Forced Air Electric Wall Heater

This hybrid model delivers 2000 Watts and features a built-in electronic thermostat/timer and a fan-forced heat boost. The fan-forced heat boost can be set to run for 5 – 30 minutes in 5 minute intervals.

It uses single phase 240V and comes in white (BL) or almond (AM). The smooth-finish paint is washable and will not yellow. It also has a built-in LED night light that provides a soft, gentle glow to any area.

Ouellet OHVU20034AM-24 Cyclone Commercial 20 kW Electric Unit Heater

This robust heater is designed for larger commercial, industrial and institutional spaces. It features a draw-through design to pull air in from the top and sides and discharge out the front through the egg-crate discharge air diffuser. The discharge air diffuser features adjustable louvers and a non-intrusive, almond color appearance.

Because of its unique flow-through air design and cabinet shape, including angled corners, there is maximum free air flow in the unit. The intake area is larger than the discharge area, making the intake air move more slowly than the discharge air. Inside the cabinet, the motor is fully enclosed and thermally protected, shielding it from the heating elements. Also included is a fan delay that purges the residual heat to help maintain a longer life for your unit heater.

 The cabinet is constructed of 18 and 20 gauge steel and finished with a powder coat paint for a longer life.
