The fan housing is constructed from 26-gauge steel with a Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium (ZAM) coating for superior corrosion resistance, while a built-in metal flange provides blocking for penetrations through drywall. It contains a built-in damper that reduces backdraft and helps with blower door testing. 

It is suitable for installation in ceilings insulated up to R60 and includes an articulating and expandable bracket that fits joists up to 24 inches apart. The unit comes with a 6″ duct but 4″ (with a reducer, field supplied) ducting is allowable as well.

WhisperFresh

Next in the series is the WhisperFresh line. It incorporates Panasonic’s vaunted Pick-A-Flow feature, which lets you choose the single CFM speed that suits your needs best. Choose from nine CFM speeds: (50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 130, or 150).

This EnergyStar-certified fan features Pick-A-Flow which lets you choose the single speed CFM with a choice of 50, 80 or 100 CFMs. It uses an ECM motor with SmartFlow technology which adjusts the fan speed to maintain peak performance. 

The housing is made from 26 gauge galvanized steel and includes a built-in backdraft damper. It has a low-profile design, with the housing extending only about 3.375″ into the ceiling. It can be installed in the ceiling, wall mounted or even installed in a tub/shower enclosure when GFCI protected.
